Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WordStory mobile application ("App") for iOS and iPadOS, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is provided by the developer, Niyazi Erdogan ("we," "us," or "our").

By downloading, accessing, or using our App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes, subject to these Terms. You agree not to use the Service for any other purpose.

2. Subscriptions and Payments

The App may offer premium features through a subscription ("Subscription"). By purchasing a Subscription, you agree to the pricing and payment terms presented to you. All payments are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Subscriptions will automatically renew unless you cancel them through your App Store account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. We do not issue refunds for Subscriptions; any refund requests must be directed to Apple.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, are the exclusive property of Niyazi Erdogan and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written consent.

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Reverse-engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to discover the source code of the App.
• Using the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law.
• Attempting to interfere with the proper functioning of the Service or circumventing any security measures.
• Using any automated system, such as "bots" or "spiders," to access the Service in a manner that sends more request messages to our servers than a human can reasonably produce in the same period.

5. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, in connection with the Service and your use thereof. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

In no event shall Niyazi Erdogan be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Istanbul, Türkiye, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
